The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialized unit that provides Specialized care for critically ill newborns.

The unit is equipped with 30 beds and state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • Extremely low birth weight babies less than 1kg.
  • Bubble CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines for respiratory support.
  • An in-house ultrasound machine for rapid diagnosis and imaging.
  • 7 ventilators for advanced respiratory support.
  • A dedicated isolation section for babies requiring strict infection control measures.
  • Neonatal Surgeries
  • Therapeutic Hypothermia

The NICU is designed to care for high-risk newborns, including:

  • Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) babies born at less than 1500 grams.
  • Babies with severe infections, such as sepsis or meningitis.
  • Babies requiring close monitoring and intensive support due to respiratory distress, cardiovascular instability, or other life-threatening conditions.
